((Sorry I had to drop a couple of the baby Angua threads, guys. If anyone didn't get to thread with her and wants to have had something happen, let me know and we can work it out OOC.))

[Immediately after waking up in the infirmary post-that-flood-where-she-tried-to-eat-everybody, Angua fled to the CES to enjoy her death toll in privacy as a wolf. As soon as the ship landed, she decided that wasn't fleeing far enough and bolted out to the far reaches of Wonderland. In other words, this is first time anyone's seen her face in a while, and she looks pretty guilty about that.]

So listen, I know this is quite belated, but I'm really very sorry to anyone I may have, er. Mauled. I'm much better than that now, I promise.

Thank you. You were right to do it. [Even if it's going to take her a while before she can look either of them in the eye, and not only out of embarrassment; the memory of the silver going into her back is going to stay with her for a long time.]

Why did you do it? [ She's still feeling unnerved from Wonderland, and there's a little more accusation in her voice than there normally is. ]

It wasn't personal, exactly. My family... has a lot of very wrong ideas about humans and werewolves. Things I didn't understand until I grew up a little more.

And you had no mercy for children?

That was thankfully the first time it ever came up for me, but... apparently not. [She sighs.] I suppose that shouldn't come as a surprise -- I know they didn't. [There's something a little dark there.]

[Saying Dean is "quick" to reply is an understatement; he'd been starting to get concerned that he'd never get to talk to her again, that one day he'd be going down to the dining hall and pass her door gone blank and that would be that. So this? Yeah.

He clicks on immediately, eyes intent and narrowed and much more concerned than the quirk of his mouth. Angua never really responds to humor very well but he can't help that it's his primary tactic for trying to get things back to alright as quickly as possible.]

Tell me you weren't hiding in the vents? Because I'm pretty sure I smelled wet dog down on Six a couple days ago.

I was in the CES. [Not angrily, but as matter-of-fact as it gets. Her gaze is very slightly to the left of the camera.] There are a lot of dogs on Seven.

The CES. Mostly. I... was death tolling.

You didn't say anything. [ It took you this long just to ask if she was okay. ]

Yeah, I thought you might be. I looked there but figured you'd turn up when you wanted to.

[He shrugs it off; if they were face to face he'd be dipping to try to get in front of her eyes, but as it is, he just raises an eyebrow.]

Pretty sure that's not the recommended treatment for deathtolling, but there are worse things.

After the flood ended. I believe it is common courtesy to stay in touch with one's inmate.

Oh. [She looks a little caught off-guard.] I checked in with the infirmary when I woke up. They said you were all right.

We tend to be skittish about doctors in Ankh-Morpork. Best stay out in the fresh air, I thought.

I do not believe that qualifies as 'staying in touch'.

[Now she's definitely off-guard, and sounds hesitant.] Sorry... I didn't think it would bother you. [Seriously, Satsuki, since when do you care?]

Perhaps you should have spent longer thinking about it. [ She doesn't know what's up either, and it really freaks her out. ]
